Fourteen Foods Brings Dairy Queen® Back to Maryville

Dairy Queen_0.JPGLeon Williams Contractors, a Maryville, Tennessee based commercial design-build firm, finished construction on the new DQ Grill & Chill, owned and operated by Dairy Queen’s largest franchisee, Fourteen Foods, which opened on January 11th, 2017.

Construction began on the new store, located at 1724 W. Broadway in Maryville, in September of 2016, with Leon Williams Contractors working from the ground up on the new 3,200 square foot building.

Fourteen Foods partnered with Leon Williams Contractors to return Dairy Queen to the area with a particular emphasis on a fast-casual restaurant model to create a unique experience for area residents.

“This was a great project for us,” said Jimmy Hawkins, president of Leon Williams Contractors. “I grew up going to Dairy Queen, so this was a nice trip down memory lane. The store itself is larger than the older-style locations, and features a new design. I’m happy we got the opportunity to work with Fourteen Foods on this store in the community that we call home.”

The opening of the DQ Grill & Chill included a special promotion for the first 100 customers that welcomed the new Maryville location receiving free DQ Blizzards for a year.
