Veterans Day Offer: Frisch’s Big Boy to Serve Free Big Boy Sandwiches to Veterans, November 11

Frischs Big Boy_0.pngVeterans can go to any participating Frisch’s® Big Boy® location on Saturday, November 11 and get a FREE Frisch’s Big Boy sandwich if they are dining inside of the restaurant. The offer is not available for drive-through or carry-out orders. The offer is available all day to all service persons with a military ID, a driver’s license with a veteran’s distinction or a Veteran’s Administration identification card.

  • The Big Boy sandwich has been served at Frisch’s since 1946.
  • The Big Boy was the first double-decker hamburger served in history; Dave Frisch made it famous in the Midwest by adding Frisch’s special tartar sauce.
  • The first Frisch’s Big Boy restaurant to serve the Big Boy sandwich was Frisch’s Mainliner, Cincinnati’s first drive-in restaurant with room for eight customers inside and 60 cars outside.  

Founded in 1939, Frisch’s Big Boy restaurants are located in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. NRD Capital, a private equity firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, acquired the company in August 2015. Frisch’s operates 96 Big Boy restaurants and franchises another 25 restaurants to independent operators.
